As Trustee of the Emerald Planet Trust, Michael pioneered the commercialization of environmental technology and service companies. These activities resulted in investment of over $5M of seed capital and $20M of venture capital directly into emerging technologies both in companies involved in the environment as well as the mitigation of climate change and the carbon economy.

More recently Michael formed Emerald Planet Limited to continue the work of the Trust in Asia. Projects are underway that provide multi-generational support and employment for communities as well as conserve rare and endangered species.

One of Michael’s other passions has been the creation of a sustainable estate which is located in the hinterland of Byron Bay, Australia. Emerald Valley Villa was developed to show how to live in luxury but in harmony with Mother Earth. Michael sold the estate in 2010.

Tobias is an long term resident of Indonesia and established the current operations of the company, developing its core investment and consulting services including a joint-venture with France's Eco-Carbone and REDD project initiation in conjunction with a major international bank.

Tobias leads the company's consulting and advisory services to both private and public sectors supported by an extensive network across Indonesia. As a consultant to the private sector Tobias specializes in project conceptualization, structuring and implementation for new investments and projects, project management and in the case of going concerns, due diligence, legal interpretation and negotiations support. As an advisor to the public sector Tobias specializes in environmental and climate change related policy with an emphasis on benefit sharing, interpretation of laws, policies and standards (including carbon standards) and community rights and recognition in the context of complex national, sub-national and regional policy environments.

He is a Representative on the international Governors' Climate and Forests Taskforce established by Governor Swartzenegger in 2008 and sits on the Advisory Board of the Papua Low Carbon Development Task Force.
